Grandma's Present!

Hello Peeps,

Miss H made a present for Grandma from the same fabrics that the Mother made Grandma's Flower Garden Quilt from.

Yes, Miss H did finish it in time for Grandma's Garden Quilt on August 29th, but she didn't have time to take a picture of it before she gave it to her.

She used the pattern "Give Thanks" by Sugarlane Designs.

Look at the coolio stitching Miss H did.

A whole post without a picture of me!!!   What is the world coming to?!?!
Pop by on Sunday for another post - which will definitely have me in it!

Have a great day.

To the South Island and Beyond...

 Hello Peeps,

Sorry for not blogging for awhile, I have been on an adventure to the South Island.  Neither Miss H nor I had been there before and we both agree it is SO much prettier than the North Island.

We flew down to Christchurch for a friend of the Mothers birthday party and then we drove a campervan all the way back up to Auckland. We had five days.

 At the Orana Wildlife Park.

We had so much fun feeding the giraffes and seeing all the other animals. The otters were really funny.

The Kaikoura coast is beautiful. We went whale watching in Kaikoura and saw a sperm whale and a blue whale. There are only 2,000 blue whales in the whole world and I got to see one.

 The Remarkables.

This was my seat the whole way. Best seat in the van.

Miss H recently got a new lens. She had fun trying it out.

How many seals can you find?

This place is a nursery for baby seals. They play there while their mothers are in the ocean finding food. There were 7 the day we went. Two fighting, one fast asleep, and the others playing in the water.

The scenery was amazing. This is in the Queen Charlotte Sounds.

Picton is where you catch the ferry from the South Island to Wellington (the capital) in the North Island.
Just recently the North Island and the South Island have become the official names of the two islands, they have always been called that but they were never official. Also they have been given official Maori names as well. Their Maori names are Te Ika-a-Māui (the fish of Maui) for the North Island and Te Waipounamu (the water(s) of greenstone) for the South Island

There was chocolate cake on the ferry. Delish-ous!

Yes, Miss H, I can read. But I'm SPECIAL so I can sit here!

Nearly at "sunny" Wellington.

Miss H, please don't let me fall...

Driving home on the last day. I was a VERY tired sheepie.

They thought I was fast asleep so they tried to sneak some M&M's. As if I wouldn't know when there was chocolate around. Mmmmm... yummy.

We all had such a COOLIO time. I can't wait until my next adventure.

Love,

I wish it was still the holidays ...

Hello.

YAY! It is Friday. The first week back at school has been VERY busy (and boring for me 'cause Miss H has been focusing on schoolwork... *yawn.*)

So I shall tell you about what we did in the holidays.  :)

Miss H and Kit Kat baked food for ME!!! (Well, they SHOULD have made it for ME...)  They decided to each bake something and the rule was they weren't allowed to use a recipe.

Mmmmmmmmm... there was crushed chocolate in the bowl, but Kit Kat caught me before I could steal liberate some.

Look at Kit Kat's wonderful concoction. Her secret ingredients were yoghurt and L&P (Lemon and Paeroa - which is a sweet soft drink made in NZ).

This is Miss H's mixture.

And Miss H's secret ingredient.

YUMMMYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!! Unattended chocolate! It's mine now!

Kit Kat's creation.

Miss H's creation.

Such messy bakers!   Look at all the dishes.

Unfortunately because I stole borrowed some of Miss H's chocolate (which was unattended and didn't have her name on it) for the top of her creation they made me help them with the dishes!  Meanies!

Pattern Testers!

Hello Peeps,

Guess what!

Miss H and the Mother were pattern testers for Mrs J from Jenny of Elefantz. Click here to see their pictures.

I was the technical adviser for Miss H's and the Mother's photos. And can I just say how I was the BESTEST technical adviser EVER!!!

Here are some more photos of their stitcheries.

More technical adviser-ing!  What would they do without me??!

Look at her lovely cushion! ( It is missing something though...)

Ah, that's better! There I am!!!

A close-up of Miss H's stitchery!

Pesky wind!

Miss H!  It's falling!

All better! What a perfect photo. Look how handsome I am!

HEXAGONS GALORE!!!

Hello. By the time you are reading this (if it posts at the right time) Miss H, The Mother, The Enemy and I will be at the bach enjoying long walks on the beach.  :)

Miss H has got LOTS more hexagon flowers completed!  She now has 23!!!

I am the King of the Hexagon Castle!

Look! The stack is as tall as me when I lie down!

Still a long way to go before it is as tall as my full height though...

Sitting on a pile of flowers!!!
