Little Bee.

Hello Peeps,

For the past few months Miss H has been looking after a little girl called Little Bee on Mondays and Wednesdays. She takes her to Preschool in the morning and picks her up in the afternoon until her Mummy comes to pick her up. But this week is the last week because this Friday her new au pair arrived from Germany.

Miss H and Little Bee have had such fun. Each morning they would feed the ducks before walking to Preschool. This duck (who has affectionately been named Mr Ugly Duckling) was so tame that he would take the food right out of their hands!

Sometimes in the afternoon, Miss H would do a craft with Little Bee. This is the pretty hearts that Little Bee made with fabric scraps.

On Monday Miss H helped Little Bee to make some coolio bunting for her new au pair.

Saturday Show: Home!

Hello Peeps,

Next Sunday (5th July) Miss H will be winging her way towards England (I will be stuffed into her luggage - no luxury for me! - but at least I am going...)

So today's Saturday Show will be the last for a little while because next Saturday will be crazy!!!

But don't worry, I will keep you up to date with my English Adventure...

...and there will also be posts about the different crafts and creative activities Miss H and the Mother have secretly been up to over the last few weeks.

The Mother stictched this lovely "Home" stitchery by Jenny of Elefantz.

It sits on the Mother's hutch along with lots of her old fashioned bits and bobs.

Saturday Show: Top Secret Quilting Group

Hello Peeps,

Today Miss H, the Mother, and I joined a top secret quilting group for some sewing.  They also brought their finished quilts to show everyone - so I thought I would share their amazing quilts with you for today's Saturday Show!

Heehee! Can you spot me in each of the above photos?

Ow! Miss H pinned me to the pin board!

The Mother also learnt a cool new technique for quilting lines: use duct tape and stitch down the side of it.

Oh, and there was yummy food of course! (Everyone started on the lovely cheese scones in the basket at the back - but I dived into the triple chocolate brownie!)

*Disclaimer: NO sheep were harmed in the making of this blog post. I was pinned to the board through my very stylish waistcoat. But I did get a tummy ache from eating all that brownie!

Saturday Show: Mother's Day Present

Hello Peeps,

Today's Saturday Show is a bit different because it isn't a quilt or a wall hanging. Miss H doesn't buy Mother's Day, birthday, or Christmas presents for the Mother anymore - she MAKES them. The Mother usually chooses a stitchery pattern she loves and asks Miss H to stitch it for her. For this Mother's day she wanted it stitched on a dollie from the Op Shop.

Doesn't the dollie look pretty? It's a bit too girly for me though...

This is the cute mouse stitchery. It matches the Mother's room perfectly!

Miss H sometimes gets a bit of a say in the colour choices, and whenever she can she likes to sneak in some aqua.

And look - the mouse has blue eyes just like Miss H. Miss H is pretty sneaky!

The Enemy's 21st Pawty!

Hello Peeps,

The Enemy is writing today's blog post because on Sunday it was his 21st birthday (in dog years!)

Woof! I turned 21 on Sunday and The Mother and Miss H gave me a wonderful pawty.

I was sooo embarrassed because they dressed me up as a bee!  (I wasn't allowed to be in my birthday suit...)!

There was lots of lovely food for the humans that I wasn't allowed to eat!!!  Miss H made a chocolate cake, Master I-Zee, Kit Kat's brother, made brownie and...

...the marvellous Miss Bee made cupcakes of ME!!!

Do you see the resemblance?!

I think Pawty's are fun! But Miss H and the Mother need lessons on how to make a yummy tasting cake for dogs - I wouldn't touch the one they made for me! Not even when it was coated in yoghurt and treats.

Saturday Show: Happy Days

Hello Peeps,

Today's quilt is one the Mother made from Clover &Violet's free embroidery tutorial, found here!

Aren't the colours sooo pretty!

This is one of my favourite ones. Isn't it very coolio?!

The Mother really enjoyed stitching all the beautiful stitcheries.

The Mother decided to hand quilt it with dark blue thread.

The Mother used the fabric on the right for most of the backing but it wasn't quite large enough, so she used a strip of the pink.

Queen's Birthday Long Weekend

Hello Peeps,

Last weekend was a special long weekend to celebrate the Queen's birthday, even though Queen Elizabeth was born on the 21st of April, which means that Monday was a holiday! YIPEE!

So on Monday the Boss, the Mother, Miss H, the Enemy, and I went for an adventure.

We had a lovely bush walk through the New Zealand bush and found lots of lovely things.

Look at the orange mushrooms.

This tall tree is a totara.

There was a helpful post with lots of information about the tree.

The Mother thought that the moss looked so pretty on the trees.

It was soooo lovely looking at the tree canopy.

This flower is a manuka flower and is where bees get manuka from to make manuka honey.

There was this lovely horse on the farmland next to the bush who followed us for a while.
