Easter Bunnies - They're Late, they're late, they're late for a very important date!

Hello Peeps,

Last weekend was Easter and Miss H and I headed to the Coromandel on Thursday afternoon for a weekend with family and friends. And then we got to go home for a couple of days before returning to Tauranga on Wednesday morning.

Miss H made some coolio bunny finger-puppets, but unfortunately she gave them away to the little girls she made them for before I got any photos. Fear not - I have insisted that she make some more.

And speaking of Easter bunnies...
Look at the coolio bunnies the Mother made for Miss H!

Pattern by Ric Rac.
Lemon is the yellow one, and Pepper is the red one.

They have the cutest little pompom tails.

Pepper is a bright and very handsome bunny. His eyes look very intelligent.

And he has a blue flower which makes him very manly.

This little cutie is soooo adorable she knocks me off my feet.

Lemon has a cute flower button surrounded by a circle of green felt.

P.S. You may have noticed the Mother and Snowy haven't done any blog posts for a while. Unfortunately they are having some technical difficulties. But I hope to have them all sorted out next week.

I got mail!

Hello Peeps,

Heidi from On the Banks of Frog Creek, who won my 222nd Blog Post Giveaway, sent me a thank you card.

Here is a coolio bookmark from the place where she lives.

Also inside was a card.

Unfortunately it was stopped from entering NZ because it contained flowers and seeds. Customs don't allow plants from overseas in case it may be harmful to our ecosystem.

But they are also very considerate and so...

..they photo-copied the card - inside and out - for me. So I still get to have it - even if its not the real thing.
Doesn't it look absolutely lovely?

A Stitch or Two to Make It Through Intensives...

Hello Peeps,

Miss H has completed her first week of university. They call the first two weeks "Intensive Weeks" because there are lectures ALL day EVERY day! As well as a two-night camp! So, Miss H has been very busy. But when she has had down time in the evenings - she has stitched.

Miss H packed lots of threads and needles and pestered the Mother to draw out some stitcheries for her before she left.

One set of stitcheries Miss H asked to be drawn out was 10 Christmas stitcheries by Wild Olive for a mini quilt Miss H is planning to make for this Christmas.

Yum - plum pudding! Hohoho!

Christmas isn't complete without decorations, lollies, and Christmas cards.

And presents, and filled stockings too. But don't forget the jingle bells!

A tree to place the presents under. The Mother never puts the presents under until the night before because Miss H manages to work out what they are with her x-ray vision... heeheehee.

And who could forget Christmas crackers full of bad jokes.

I must tell you, however, that this first Intensive Week hasn't been all hard work. For an entire hour of lecture time they were told to play: play dough, bubbles, puzzles, and toys.

Miss H and a group of the other girls made this out of plain white play dough. They coloured it all themselves.

A giraffe took a leisurely trip down the river. Can you see the sparkly rocks that are on the rivers edge?

The girls loved making it so much. There were no rules or instructions, just their imaginations.
