Organised October: Reading Pillows!

Hello Peeps,

For today's Organised October we have some kits for reading pillows.

Miss H went to some friends' birthday party (triplets - 2 girls and a boy - and their sister). The Mother taught them how to quilt last year and they are creative so Miss H and the Mother decided to make up some packs for them to make their own Reading Pillows.

So, the Mother wrote up a pattern for them. Below is some of the progression photos we included with the instructions.

Here is some of the Mother's stitching.

The front. I love that front fabric - though Snowy doesn't! Hee hee hee!

I don't know what this is a picture of... um... a pin in fabric...
This is what happens when Miss H lets the Mother take the pictures...

The finished pillow! Complete with Miss H's favourite book, of course!

The Mother and Miss H made up the kits for the triplets and their sister.

Each fabric was carefully chosen according to the colours they like.

  1. What a brilliant way of encouraging them to sew. The kits look fantastic and I am sure they will have a lot of fun! Have a lovely weekend! Christine x

  2. Brilliant! What a fantastic idea and so beautifully put together. xx

  3. What a brilliant idea ... am thinking i might have to "pinch/borrow" that idea for a friends birthday next year ... she enjoys the same kind of books as I do so I could pop one in the pocket.

  4. What a great idea for gifts! I think we'd all love a pillow like that.

  5. That is a great idea. Love that the colors are personalized.

  6. ohhhmy these are so lovely...what a lovely gift idea. xx
