Scrap and Stash September: Whale Pillow

Hello Peeps,

The Mother kindly gave Miss H some of her scraps from a Snowball Quilt she was making (as usual, she gave the quilt away before she snapped a picture... sigh!).

So Miss H decided to use them to make a set of three pillows with some ocean themed stitcheries in the center and a Scripture verse surrounding it.

Here is the first one that Miss H has completed - just waiting to be sewn together and stuffed with a cushion. 

And this is the cute whale in the center. Miss H got him out of Wild Olive's Stitch Love books - one of her favourites.

Scrap and Stash September: Star Quilts Revealed...

Hello Paw-Pals,

This is quilt 1

The Mother has been doing some work on the Scrap and Stash September quilts.  She decided it would be fun to use her star blocks in a colour star quilt.

Each block is a different colour.  She hardly believed she had scraps in that many colours.  She had great fun!

I like the blue star, the Mother likes the yellow one.

She decided to make 2 quilts - But silly her she sent these photo's to Miss H but took two photo's of the same one!!!!!  Gee, she really needs help!!! 

Though the two pictures at the top are of the other quilt - before it is completed...

Scrap and Stash September: Pin Cushions

Hello Peeps,

 The Mother made this coolio pin cushions out of scraps and some of Miss H's orphan stitcheries.

It was a left-over block that made the background of this one. I have to say that that log cabin looks VERY inviting!

We have a hole in the ozone layer above New Zealand so it is very important to wear a sunhat - and this is a very cute one.

"You are my sunshine" springs to mind when I see this pincushion...

I wonder what is inside this picnic basket - hopefully some yummy sandwiches and a whole bar of CHOCOLATE just for me!

I love Scrap and Stash September! There are sooooo many things you can make with scraps.

Scrap and Stash September: Rainbow Stars

Hello Paw-Pals,

Look how I am helping the Mother with all her rainbow stars!  Each square is taken from the scrap bag.  Pink, yellow, brown, black .......can you see?  Oh, what ...you can't?   Well I suppose I am a bit in the way!  Let's call it a sneaky peak....

Er... about this one......something is wrong with this one.....just saying.....

Pop by next Monday to see what became of these scrap-tastic star blocks.
