Mini May: Sheep

Hello Peeps,

Today is the last day of May and so this is the last mini quilt Snowy and I have to show you.

But don't worry - I have saved the BEST to last.

May I introduce you to Lambo!

Isn't he soooo coolio? My very own mini quilt!!! Now I won't get cold in winter.

Look how nicely the Mother did his blanket stitch.

He is just Baaaarilliant!

Mini May: Marks for Joyfulness

Hello Paw-Pals,

What me? Step on it? No, not a chance.

Hmmm... I do like it.

Errrr... no, no paws on it. What do you mean?

The Mother made this out of a stitchery the Mother drew for Miss H to stitch, but got a mark on so Miss H refused to stitch it. Very fussy that girl!

So the Mother stitched it - and look at the beautiful flower!

Problem all gone.

Mini May: Dolly Quilt

Hello Peeps,

Today's Mini is the perfect size for a little dolly.

The pattern was designed by Jenny of Elefantz daughter Blossom and can be found HERE!

I think this house block is the coolio-est part of all!!!

And look at the Mother's lovely flowers.  

I love apple trees - and those apples look good enough to eat... although they do look a bit blue...

And of course the Mother used the best kind of batting fabric... LOLLIES!!!

Mini May: In the Strawberry Patch

Hello Paw-Pals,

Ooops, sorry about the late blog post - Miss H came home for the weekend and then she smacked her face into the bathroom door accidentally... she is all okay - just had a headache and a red face.

But now, at last, here is the blog post...

The Mother made this cute little quilt from a free tutorial from Carried Away Quilting.  It was easy to make with one of her charm packs that she seems to have stashed secretly around the place so the Boss doesn't see all the fabric together and realise how much she has!

She used some buttons from her and Grandmothers collection.  Super fun and easy.

Mini May: Fancy a Cuppa?

Hello Paw-Pals,


Look what the Mother started doing - a cute tea cup mini quilt.

That pesky sheep is ruining the props!!!

Fancy a cuppa is the question for the Mother's friend whom she made the mini for - not the sheep!

She made 9 little tea cups.
1 with the handle the other way, just to make her friend laugh...

All made using fabric from the Mother's stash.

Yep! I think it will do double duty and be a coat - though I am a boy and it is bright pink!
Don't let that Baa fellow see or I will never hear the end of it!!!

Mini May: Bird jenny

Hello Peeps

Isn't today's quilt lovely and cheerful?

The Mother used a stitchery designed by Jenny of Elefantz that Miss H stitched for her in the centre of this adorable quilt.

The Mother then blanket stitched by hand around each heart in the four corners.

The Mother and Miss H often work as a tag team - Miss H is the Queen of hand stitching and the Mother is the Queen of blanket stitching and stitching on bindings - oh, and I am the King of eating chocolate!

Mini May: Moon and Back

I hope you are enjoying this month's theme.

Today's Mini Quilt is a very special one that the Mother made for Miss H.

Miss H and the Mother always say "Love you to the moon and back" and the Mother wanted to capture that in a mini quilt now that Miss H is far away.
